A New Friend For Gina!
Six months after losing my best friend Willie, I adopted a lovely, Yellow Lab mix with the saddest eyes. My new friend had no name, so after getting to know her for two weeks, I decided to call her Nahla. Nahla in Arabic means: "Drink of Water". The puppy was rescued from a kill shelter in Virginia and most likely abused. Only 6 months old and very shy at first, Nahla has finally bonded with me. Now that she's found a home, Nahla is blossoming into a wonderful companion. See Nahla on her blanket during her first Christmas.? What a sweet girl!
We go for long walks every day and Nahla is learning how to travel with weights; I bought her a saddle bag and fill them with needed items to carry. Nahla loves having a job! She is coming into her own and I'm glad we found each other!
